Who we are
Rooted in Nature • Family-Owned Since 1949
At Marusyna Farm, we believe real food starts with real care.
Nestled in the heart of Buchanan, Michigan, our family farm is home to cheerful chickens, curious goats, happy pigs, and a growing community of people who care about how their food is grown.
While we honor tradition, we’re not afraid to innovate. By blending sustainable practices with modern tools, we raise healthy animals, protect the environment, and grow products that reflect the care we put into every day.
The Faces Behind the Farm
Our History
From the Tatra Mountains to Michigan Soil
Rooted in Heritage. Grown with Heart.
Marusyna Farm was founded in 1949, but its roots stretch much deeper - across oceans, across generations, all the way to the Tatra Mountains of southern Poland.
Our family comes from a proud line of Highlanders (Górale) - mountain people known for their strong connection to land, animals, and tradition. In Highlander families, surnames often carried nicknames tied to a village or clan, used to distinguish one family line from another.
Our family’s nickname (and now the name of our farm) comes from the village of Marusyna, where our forefathers lived. Over time, that name became more than just a way to identify us - it became a symbol of our resilience, roots, and responsibility to carry on the legacy of those who came before us.
A Legacy Continued
When our family settled here in Buchanan, Michigan, we brought that heritage with us - a deep respect for nature, a commitment to hard work, and a belief in feeding others with honesty and care.
Today, Marusyna Farm is still family-owned and operated. We raise pasture-fed chickens and goats, bake homemade goods, and practice sustainable farming that blends time-honored tradition with modern tools.
From the mountains to the Midwest, our story is one of land, love, and legacy - and we’re honored to share it with you.
